Pinning Hopes for A Promising Future

If a question is addressed that, “where do you see the world in the next 365 days?” will you be able to imagine a world unconfined from the walls of Coronavirus?

Covid-19, the new desperado, has completely shaken our daily lives. Even after the roll of 365 days, I see myself masking up, sanitizing, and carrying a paranoid mindset.

Our forthcoming plans have been wrecked and the world is in a riot with this deadly virus. In the last year, we have encountered things that we are still recovering from, mental health issues took a huge jump, and numbers of suicidal attempts took place, people died, domestic violence is one problem that went normal, and a lot more. Although, we did witness some silver linings in the first phase of lockdown 2020, less pollution leading to a good scale of AQI. Endangered species coming about, the idea of keeping human beings in a house arrest came out quite well.
We almost gave up the life that involves masks and sanitizers as a must-have. But, within a snap we got stuck again in the same time zone where we were all locked up, and who’s to be criticized for this, the system, the native country of the fatal virus or should we question ourselves? Our country has been registered with a world record for daily coronavirus infections for the fourth day in a row. The nation is running out of O2 gas supply, people are cremated on the footpaths as the furnaces in the cemetery are full. This country has seen a lot in the past few days. The second wave of covid has struck us like a tsunami. We are all bound to stay home and turn our quarantine modes on yet again because maybe the last time we didn’t do it the better way.

Every action has its reaction. This time, let’s practice the same steps of precaution but with a finer algorithm. Begin with washing hands for 20 seconds, a lot of us surely have given up on this one. In simple words “you fail, you learn but you try again”. The world with no dejection demands our awareness and awakening.

Maybe then queries about a better tomorrow won’t remain uncertain. Plant seeds of a promising future for the Nexgen.
